Rowan Park School is an outstanding Special School, which has maintained “Outstanding” Status for the past four inspections. In May 2015, the School was awarded Teaching School status. The School has a main site which caters for children and young people aged 3 to 19 years with severe/complex learning difficulties and currently has 138 pupils on roll. It also has additional sites - Rowan High School, which caters for young people aged 11 - 19 years and The Rowan Tree (opened in September 2019), which caters for Reception and Year 1 pupils. Pupils at Rowan High School and The Rowan Tree all have a diagnosis of autism.
Due to the growing population of the School, The Rowan Tree, currently based in Caradoc Road, Seaforth, L21 4NB, opened as an additional site in September 2019. The Governors now wish to appoint two additional Teaching Assistant’s to support young people with severe and complex learning difficulties to access their learning. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for working with children and young people with disabilities and are committed to ensuring everyone achieves success in their academic, social and independent skills.
