Enfield is the first London borough to be awarded £156m funding from the Government’s Housing Infrastructure Fund to unlock development growth in our borough; and this is just one part of the ambitious plans that we are developing to shape Enfield’s future. We are energised and passionate about quality place making and the role that planners can have in helping deliver this.
We’re are looking for exceptional candidates to make a contribution to our newly formed Planning Service, that brings together Development Management and Strategic Planning and Design to lead both new strategic policy and help guide projects through the planning process to delivery.

Enfield’s Planning Service is building its capacity to help deliver circa 30,000 new homes through Enfield’s New Local Plan 2036, area-wide regeneration and high quality planning, design and heritage service to ensure successful placemaking and regeneration.

Area Plans Manager
Permanent, Full Time
Grade: MM1 £37,905 to £48,486 pa
A fully committed professional that can drive forward area and place-based Local Plan polices, Area Plans, Masterplans and Neighbourhood Planning, the Area Plans Manager will join the Plan Making Team as we embark on a range of exciting planning and regeneration schemes. The Area Plans Managers’ work will contribute to improving the lives of local residents and creating a great place to live, work and play through sustainable development, transport projects and improvements to the public realm.
