The post is offered on a full-time basis of 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
You will work effectively with private rented sector landlords to access their accommodation and to develop partnerships using a variety of incentives. You will have a caseload of clients identified as homeless (or at risk of being homeless) that you will assist in securing accommodation for, within the private rented sector.
You should have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language and Maths. Experience of and ability to problem solve, effective team working and working with clients with varying needs is essential.
An awareness of homeless legislation and housing standards (Health & Safety rating system HHRS) will be required to fulfil the role.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide information and advice in accurate spoken English is also an essential requirement.
The successful candidate will be automatically enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration of their criminal record history and apply for an Enhanced DBS check from the Disclosure & Barring Service prior to appointment.
