The Portsmouth Safeguarding Adults Board is seeking to appoint a Chair to provide independent leadership and strategic vision to the Portsmouth Safeguarding Adults Board (PSAB). The successful candidate will ensure that the Board continues to develop an independent and authoritative identity and that it works to safeguard adults at risk across the city through good collaboration and effective partnership working between its members.
We are looking for someone with a passion for safeguarding, and who has the demonstrable senior level strategic experience in a relevant field to embed partnership working at all levels. You will have an in-depth understanding of adult safeguarding policy and practice, along with the judgement and skill to build relationships with the most senior system leaders to drive the adult safeguarding agenda in the city and beyond.

This will initially be a two year contract for up to 20 days' work per year, paid at a rate of £500 per day. A minimum of 1 day per month is required although this is flexible.
This is an employed position under IR35 as a casual employee. All payments will be made through the Council's payroll.
