The Role

A high performance culture is essential to the delivery of first class services to our residents and customers. We recognise and reward high performance and salary progression is based on individual performance.

We are looking for a Sheltered Estate Management Officer join our Sheltered Housing Team, providing extensive housing management services to Council tenants with specific responsibility for a defined patch of Council properties.

We will look to you to provide a comprehensive landlord function and extensive housing management services to our sheltered housing tenants as well as fully participating in duty arrangements within the team in order to ensure proper accessibility to services for vulnerable older people in sheltered housing. You will be responsible for managing rent arrears for the patch, monitoring of repairs works and dealing with any other housing management issues including anti-social behaviour.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.

About you

Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate good communication skills whilst working with residents and other external agencies. You will need to have an awareness of social housing issues, in particular the concerns of older people living in an inner city environment.

To this role you will bring your experience of promoting the independence of older people living in the community and experience of tackling anti-social behaviour and an understanding of the issues for both victims and perpetrators.
