The London Borough of Hillingdon Arts Service is looking for new recruits to join our team of Duty Officers.
Duty Officers are responsible for managing the public, buildings and assets during events. Based at the Compass Theatre in Ickenham and Manor Farm Site in Ruislip, the role has a strong customer facing element, taking responsibility for the safety and management of audiences. Hours are flexible and can be arranged around the most demanding work or family schedules.
This role includes evening and weekend work.
About the person
This challenging, varied and rewarding position is ideally suited to an individual with experience in events, security or hospitality, looking to supplement their income with casual work.
Successful candidates will have excellent verbal communication and customer care skills, high standards of appearance, and an ability to take a supervisory role with volunteer staff who work on our bars and box office.
Furthermore, this role will require extensive unsupervised working; therefore an ability to use your own initiative to think and act decisively will be essential.
You will need to be confident in undertaking First Aid and Fire Warden duties, for which training will be provided if there is no previous qualification.
Interviews on Wednesday 30th October 2019 at Winston Churchill Theatre, however this may be subject to change depending on business needs.
