Post 1:

Location: Nailsea Library

Hours: 18.5 hours per week including alternate Saturdays

Contract: Permanent

 

Libraries are cultural hubs at the centre of their communities offering Code Clubs, IT support, Lego Clubs, Family History advice and so much more! We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working person with a strong customer focus and the ability to work well within a team. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in books and technology. As part of a busy library team, you will be working with customers and volunteers of all ages, organising and delivering activities. You will support customers with enquiries, self-service kiosks, computers and the use of Wi-Fi, and undertake other routine library stock management

 

If you are a people person with strong communication skills, confidence in the use of ICT, keen to use your initiative, and are adaptable, then this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

 

You may be asked to work in other libraries on occasion as required.

 

Post 2:

Location: North Somerset (Library Pool x 2)

Hours: 0 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

 

We are seeking two Customer Services Officers to join our pool of library relief staff working at various North Somerset libraries to cover sickness and annual leave. You need to be flexible enough to work different days, particularly a Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, at various locations across the district, as required. Available shifts are generally known a month in advance, though can be at short notice. The role is as for Post 1 but additionally you must relish the challenge of working in different types of library buildings and locations. You must have the ability to use your initiative, be adaptable and work effectively in different teams.
