The Epsom Playhouse, situated in Epsom town centre, is a receiving house comprising a 450-seat main auditorium and an 80-seat studio.
We are seeking a multi-skilled and experienced individual to provide technical services to ensure the successful presentation of a wide programme of professional and community performances. You will be responsible for rigging, operating, and de-rigging, lighting, sound, stage and AV equipment for rehearsals and performances, duty stage management, simple maintenance of equipment, and supervision of casual staff, visiting companies and community users.
This is a great opportunity for a highly organised individual, with a proven track record of having worked in a theatre environment. You will have knowledge of ETC computerised lighting programming and operation, and sound patching and digital sound desk operation and conducting soundchecks for live music and other one-night events. A good working knowledge of QLab and AV would be advantages. Good verbal communication skills are required as you will be communicating with professional companies and community hirers.&nbsp; You must also be able to demonstrate your ability to work effectively as part of a busy and committed team.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Flexibility is vital as you will be required to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.&nbsp; You must also have your own transport as you will be required to work late when public transport is not available.

Business Support is key to the success of our Children’s Services because our Business Support teams are there, making sure things run smoothly, so that our frontline colleagues can deliver for children and families in the community. All that work in the background doesn’t just happen, it takes dedicated colleagues, taking pride in their work and seeing a purpose in the work they are doing.The post holder will be predominantly office based, although some home working is arranged on a rota basis dependant on the demands of the service.&nbsp;This post is a fixed term position working full-time (37 hours per week) until the end of March 2026Main Responsibilities You will provide core business functions in addition to working closely with team managers, social workers, professionals and partners. &nbsp;This will include attending and servicing a variety of statutory meetings across the District/s.You will need full knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to utilise the main applications.&nbsp;You’ll also chase workers for paperwork to make sure work is completed to the required deadlines. A part of this role is inputting data in our database, sharing data, and helping to ensure the data base is up to date and ensuring its accurate by cleansing data as and when needed.&nbsp;You will also undertake financial payments, through ordering of equipment and paying out of cash. In addition, there will be the opportunity to support wider more generic office functions to support the delivery of all business support services.&nbsp;The Ideal Candidate Working in Business Support requires teamwork, good organisational skills and a good level of competency using IT systems. You’ll also need:<ul>
<li>NVQ Level III in Business Administration or equivalent.</li>
<li>An IT qualification equivalent to the competency level of ECDL or equivalent</li>
<li>Good communication skills because you’ll interact with lots of people across the organisation and externally through phone, in person and email</li>
