Nottinghamshire County Council are in the process of delivering their exciting new ICT strategy. As a significant part of this, we will be adopting a ‘cloud first’ strategy. This will see us prioritise the cloud for all future developments as well as migrating all existing systems and services.
In order to ensure that this transition is smooth and effective, we are looking to appoint a Technical Specialist in cloud technologies to join our ICT Infrastructure and Design team.
We will look to you to uphold the high standards of our ICT department, providing quality maintenance and support services for all new systems. You’ll also be expected to design, develop and implement enterprise class solutions.
You’ll act as technical lead on complex ICT projects of all sizes, driving them from conception through to implementation.
We’re looking for someone to bring confidence and experience to this role. Our migration to the cloud is a crucial part of our ICT strategy moving forward and so it is integral that we have the right people in place to ensure its success.
You will have considerable knowledge of cloud platforms, cyber security as well as DevOps, Microsoft Azure, Scrum and Agile methodologies.
We’ll also look to you to set a clear example for outstanding customer care, representing the service throughout the council.
Your passion for your work will see you keen to stay up to date with all the latest industry trends and updates. We will support you through all the relevant Microsoft certified courses to ensure that your knowledge is continuously updated.
