There are 2 Social Work/AMHP posts available within the Mental Health Recovery Team West.

These post are based in Highwood. Uckfield Hospital and St Marys House, Eastbourne. The posts cover the Lewes, Eastbourne and Wealden areas, however the successful candidate can expect to work throughout the area. All team members work under Agile conditions.

You will join friendly and experienced team of mental health practitioners. These posts are demanding ut rewarding roles with good career opportunities for the successful applicants.

You will hold a complex case load supporting clients with a range of mental health social care needs as well as their families and Carers. You will be working clients with a diagnosis of severe and enduring mental disorder. We are a Care Act team and you will have a knowledge of the Care Act and the assessment process. Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and of Safeguarding Adults at Risk is an essential requirement of these posts.

You will need to be able to demonstrate effective communication and report writing skills and have knowledge of the main issues in working with adults with complex mental health needs. We are looking for individuals who show a commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and demonstrate an ability to promote independence in a supportive manner that minimises risk and achieves positive outcomes.

We welcome applications from social workers who are not AMPHs and if appointed you will be required to undertake Approved Mental Health Professional Training.
