Would you like to be part of a close-working team delivering quality software online in support of improving the lives of Islington's resident, visitors and businesses?
You will be part of a team of around 25 people who range in skills from writing software source code all the way through to communicating and interacting with our customers. Although primarily working within Microsoft oriented systems and software we use a range of technology stacks, cloud infrastructure and development environments to facilitate better, faster and more efficient delivery of services online to our customers and internally to staff. Although we have a home base at one of our Islington offices, we work closely with the entire organisation of thousands of staff and hundreds of thousands of customers, working flexibly to be as efficient as possible.
You will work alongside a cross functional team of development, UX, Design and Operations specialists who are improving how customers interact with the council digitally. We are championing the digital transformation of government, making public services digital by default, simpler, clearer and faster to use.
We create products using iterative and agile processes with a focus on User Experience, always asking how we can make things better for customers, who are at the centre of everything we do. The successful applicant will be an integral part of the team, shaping how we work together and promote best practice principals to other service areas within the council.
