More about the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work within and manage Stop Smoking Services covering Central Bedfordshire, Bedford Borough and Milton Keynes. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the service and working closely with organisations in the community to encourage engagement and access for residents looking for support to quit.
You will be a vital part of a team, helping to improve the quality of life for residents of the community by reducing local smoking prevalence. You will be in a key position to protect vulnerable residents and improve their wellbeing by working to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities. This will be an opportunity to make a significant difference to the lives of others while allowing you to find your greatness.
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of action plans to deliver outcomes identified in strategies and policies. You will have excellent communication skills to build relationships, manage the Stop Smoking Team and influence organisations to engage with health and wellbeing, health prevention and health inequalities. You will have strong presentation skills using a variety of different methods and able to communicate sometimes complex information to a variety of audiences. You will be able to evaluate and appraise evidence and data to draw appropriate conclusions.
Ideally the successful applicant will have a degree or relevant experience. We are looking for someone who is organised, patient and has a talent for motivating others. You will be an integral part managing a progressive and enthusiastic team dedicated to providing an exceptionally high-quality service.
