Are you customer service focused, a problem solver and someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment?
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team of skilled ICT Support Officers.
The ICT Service Desk provides technical support, advice and information on a wide range of hardware and applications and is the single point of contact for all customer ICT requests, problems and issues.
The role works across Staffordshire County Council and the ICT community. It is primarily responsible for the provision of first and second line support, providing efficient problem resolution, advice and support for customers dealing with user applications and laptops including associated peripheral devices. You will make use of corporate standards, best practice and established industrial standards in order to achieve the objectives of the unit.
The post after the initial 2 week in office training period is a hybrid working model based on 2 days in the office and 3 days at home. We will provide a standard laptop and necessary kit but you must have a stable internet connection at home.
Main ResponsibilitiesAs an ICT Support Officer, you will be:
- Taking calls from SCC customers throughout Staffordshire and beyond
- Thinking on your feet and solving issues first line
- Developing our self service customer portal
- Provide excellent customer service at all times
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for you to have:
- excellent technical ICT knowledge, to include PC hardware, mobiles and tablets, a wide range of software including Operating Systems, Office 365, Active Directory and Active Directory Azure
- exceptional communication and customer care skills
- experience of working in a support environment is essential.
