About the role
High Hurstwood CE Primary School is a popular school with an excellent reputation. We are a small and thriving school with just over 100 pupils, set in the village community of High Hurstwood. Many parents from the surrounding villages, Crowborough and Uckfield send their children to us because of our high expectations and standards, combined with our welcoming family atmosphere, reflecting Christian values; where all members of the school community know one another by name.
There is an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to be appointed to work in our Early Years classroom.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:
- A calm, patient, resilient and flexible approach
- Has excellent interpersonal skills and can build relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- A commitment to inclusion within a mainstream setting.
- Knowledge of, and the ability to implement a range of strategies in order to keep the pupils motivated and safe
- The ability to follow a classroom timetable and curriculum plans.
- Be able to lead small group interventions with pupils.
- Previous experience of working with children.
