Teacher - Maternity Cover - Temporary

Required for February 2025 - we are looking for an experienced, outstanding teacher with a proven track record of raising attainment to join our wonderful school. We are looking for a teacher who has the enthusiasm to ‘make a difference’ in the lives and learning of all our children who are in our successful school; this post will be for maternity cover and the position is temporary for up to 1 year in our LKS2 area. We will be looking for candidates who have taught in a variety of age phases, and who have the skills and knowledge to be adaptable. Experienced teachers are also encouraged to apply for these posts. It is essential that candidates specify their curriculum strengths within their application.
Sherdley Primary School is a good school that is a two-form entry school with a Pre-school provision. We have a hard working team of teachers and support staff who work effectively together. The successful candidates must:
• Be very clear about their school experience and their subject strengths
• Be an excellent, experienced classroom practitioner, who has a thorough working knowledge of the curriculum across a variety of age phases
• Demonstrate high expectations for all pupils, including key groups such as PPG, SEN
• Promote outstanding behaviour for learning
• Demonstrate excellent behaviour management strategies and outstanding pastoral care
• Use effectively a wide range of creative approaches to the delivery of the curriculum
• Be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school community, including after-school clubs/activities.
