More about the role:
An exciting opportunity to influence Central Bedfordshire Council's engagement with businesses and shape their emploment needs!
This is an opportunity to shape the delivery of our business support and employer engagement programmes. It is an excellent opportunity for anyone wanting to utilise and develop their project management and account management skills within a dynamic team.

The Business Growth team delivers support to businesses in Central Bedfordshire to enable growth, focussed on a Strategic Account Management programme with our top 100 businesses and support for "scale up" businesses including an ERDF funded project to deliver innovation support to businesses looking to innovate and grow. The team also delivers targeted support for the council's four key sectors: AgriFood, High Performance Technologies, Visitor Economy and Transport and Logistics.
Another major focus of the role is to engage with and develop the skills agenda in Central Bedfordshire. In an increasingly competitive world, skills have a critical role to play. The aim of Central Bedfordshire Council’s All Age Skills Strategy is to enable the delivery of a flexible and responsive workforce that meets the needs of employers, ensuring that our residents have the opportunities to develop the skills they need for work. This strategy has a critical role to play in enabling Central Bedfordshire to achieve its full economic potential and in delivering the Council’s 5 Year Plan priorities to support education and skills, and business growth and prosperity. This role will help to implement and monitor the impact of the All Age Skills Strategy.

We are seeking a proactive individual to join the team. Key activities will include account management with key companies in Central Bedfordshire, developing sector specific initiatives, partnership working with providers of business support and helping to coordinate the delivery of the All Age Skills strategy, particularly in relation to ensuring it is responsive to meet the needs of our employers.

This role could be the perfect opportunity for a flexible and ambitious individual looking to gain further experience in the world of economic development, account management and partnership working.
