There has never been a greater focus on children’s services in Croydon than right now, making it an exciting place to take the next step in your social work career.

We have opportunities for Advanced Practitioners to join Croydon Council to help shape the future of children’s services. As a senior member of the team, we’ll look to you to provide guidance for the less experienced social workers within the service.

You’ll be part of the comprehensive support structure for our social workers as they are tasked with managing often complex caseloads, safeguarding children and families in Croydon.

We’ll look to you to build and maintain positive relationships with those in your care – continuously analysing and assessing the children and their environment, placing their health and safety as your number one priority.

You’ll be expected to devise and implement evidence based plans, working directly with children, families and young people as well as partners to secure their success.

About you

We are looking for social workers that have already progressed to an experienced level that can demonstrate their exemplary practice of managing complex cases and evidencing multi-agency partnership working.

Your compassion will enable you to effectively engage and build relationships with children, young people and their families. Your experience of working in a statutory setting will allow you to operate with confidence and emotional intelligence – making effective assessments and implementing subsequent plans.

We need passionate social workers who genuinely care and who want nothing but the best outcomes for Croydon’s children and families.

This is an extremely exciting time to join Croydon Council, we are looking for people who are excited by the prospect of driving the service forward.

About us

What makes Croydon special is our people – both within the council and throughout the borough. Our diverse population has made Croydon a thriving cultural hub, it also makes it a truly unique environment in which to work and practice social work.
