The successful applicant will also conduct investigations into unauthorised building work and carry out the appropriate enforcement action. There is an expectation that you will deputise for the Building Control Manager in their absence, supervising daily workloads within the team and ensuring service delivery is met. We are therefore looking for someone with drive and ambition and managerial aspirations to assist the Building Control Manager to take the service forward.</p>\n<p class=\"customHTML\">To be successful for the Senior Building Control Officer vacancy, you must possess a relevant Building Technology qualification and a sound knowledge of the relevant provisions in The Building Act 1984, The Building Safety Act 2022, Building Regulations 2010 and associated Approved Documents. It is essential that you have a membership for a relevant professional body such as the RICS, CABE or CIOB. In addition, you will be registered with the Building Safety Regulator as a Class 2 (A- F) or Class 3 (specialist) or in the process of undertaking a competency validation with one of the accepted accreditors, (i.e. BSCF, CABE BICAS or Total Training).</p>\n<p class=\"customHTML\">The ideal applicant will have an excellent knowledge of construction technology and the building process as well possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills, IT literacy skills and possess a full driving licence with access to a vehicle.</p>\n<p class=\"customHTML\">We would also be happy to consider applicants who are looking to work in the role on a part-time basis.
