- Providing day to day financial management of the Town Council under the direction of the Town Clerk.
- Managing the Town Council’s financial affairs within the legal framework for Local Authorities and to comply with current legislation, statements of recommended practice and accounting codes of practice to ensure that the Town Council complies with the Financial Regulations approved by the council.
Responsible Finance Officer requirements:
- A professional manner and the ability to work to a high standard
- Able to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Experience at a senior level in an organisation with responsibility for key financial functions.
- Budget setting and financial management skills.
- Excellent oral, written and email communication skills, including an ability to relate to, and communicate with councillors, staff, public and external agencies.
Additional information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
