The post holder will work in the Council's Community Safety section and will be fundamental in shaping, developing and supporting the Council's strategic approach to domestic abuse. The right candidate will have excellent knowledge and experience in relation to domestic abuse legislation, policy and approach and will play a critical part in the work of the section.
What will the role involve?
- Reviewing and strengthening Council policy and procedures in relation to domestic abuse and application of those procedures.
- Growing and maintaining strong multi-agency partnership relationships inside and outside the Council.
- Providing training and coaching for Council staff who may experience domestic abuse as part of their role and growing awareness on the topic.
- Developing and delivering projects in relation to domestic abuse.
- Providing support to the team in relation to Domestic Abuse Related Death Review's (formerly DHR's) and wider community safety works.
- Being an excellent communicator and team player.
