
Teaching & Learning Assistant
We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching and Learning Assistant to work two afternoons a week in our Early Years Unit and three afternoons a week doing targeted work with two Year 2 children. You will need to be a kind and nurturing person who is able to work as part of our dedicated school. The successful candidate will work 5 afternoons a week during school term time from 12.30pm – 3.30pm.
You will be working as part of the team in our EYFS Unit and will work alongside the teacher and another TLA. When doing the targeted work, it will be planned by the class teacher and our SENDCo to ensure we are meeting the children’s needs and working on their targets. You will then deliver the targeted support.
Experience and Skills we are looking for:
- Someone who can work as part of a team.
- Someone with knowledge of the EYFS curriculum or a willingness to learn.
- Someone who can use their initiative.
- Someone who can work in small groups with a child/ren with SEND.
- Someone who has experience of children with ASD and the need for sensory play.
- Someone who has a Level 3 qualification.
- Someone who is Paediatric first aid trained or is willing to undergo the training.
- Someone who can bring learning to life, making it fun and engaging.
- Someone who can communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues and outside agencies.

Salary range
- £9,403.44 - £10,088.76 per year
