Support Services Officer (Housing)

Grade 8 - £27,254 - £31,022 per annum

Full Time - 37 hours per week

Indefinite Contract

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? Do you want to help people find and sustain a home where they can thrive? Join our dedicated Support Services team and play a vital role in preventing homelessness and providing transformative support.

As a Support Services Officer, you will work directly with people facing the most barriers to securing and keeping their home. Your caseload will be managed carefully allowing you to give your best to those you are supporting.

The immediate focus of the role is to deliver a Housing First model of support, helping someone recently housed after long-term rough sleeping, providing practical and compassionate assistance to maintain their tenancy, engage with additional services and the wider community. In the longer term, caseloads may vary to include supporting someone at risk of eviction, helping them manage their finances, liaising with landlords, and seeking alternative accommodation to prevent homelessness.

You will need knowledge and understanding of the causes of homelessness and the support needs of the individuals.
