The Observatory School is seeking to appoint a day time Site Manager to provide, operational support to the Finance and Facilities Officer across the three different school sites.
We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic, conscientious, proactive and self-motivated, who would like to provide a key role in maintaining and developing our school sites, to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community.
Duties will include:
Acting as a key holder, locking and unlocking the school and carrying out security checks of the whole site
Carrying out and recording maintenance checks and maintaining records to a high standard
Management of external maintenance and service contracts and supervision of contractors whilst on site
Monitoring site stock, ordering supplies and maintaining associated records
Experience of DIY and ability to carry out minor repairs, general maintenance and decorating competently
Undertake cleaning duties whilst managing a small team of school cleaners
Deliver health and safety training and information to staff
Provide support to the school by acting as a driver of the different school vehicles to move items around the school sites and to provide driver cover for pupil trips and educational visits.
Willingness to attend training courses, including health and safety awareness and safeguarding
A love of farm animals and an interest in learning about their care and welfare will be a significant advantage
Own car, and a driving license is essential - you will need to move between different sites during the day and drive school vehicles.
The hours of working are to be negotiated but are to be usually a single shift during the working school day. On occasion, the post holder will be required to work split shifts to cover the absences of the other two site managers.

- £26,823 - £28,141 per year
