We are now inviting a talented Service Improvement Manager to join our Business Intelligence team.

To enable this, we’ve launched a new operating model for Business Intelligence.     We’re excited to be moving to Microsoft Fabric in the coming months, unlocking new possibilities for single view and end to end analysis, automation and scalable insight delivery. Our team is already embracing Copilot and other AI driven tools, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in local government intelligence.

    The role will include:

    • Ensuring the Council has robust and consistent business intelligence data governance and quality in place and that the organisation and the function have the right data literacy skills in place to support the organisation to be intelligence led and meet its future demands.
    • Leading the enhancement of the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the business intelligence function through identifying areas for improvement, implementing best practices, and ensuring that business intelligence services meet the evolving needs of the organisation.
    • Leading, developing and performance managing a team of Senior Business Intelligence Analysts and Analysts, ensuring they are working to the Council’s Data Strategy and principles, consistent standards, are using modern technologies and identifying where they can be used to improve service delivery.
    • Leading the delivery of specialist areas within the BI team including spatial intelligence and addressing, workforce planning, data literacy and the transparency framework.
    • Develop close working relationships with services, wider core teams and external partners to influence and improve performance and standardise process, in order to improve Council decision-making.

    Salary range

    • £51,356 - £54,495 per year
