An opportunity has arisen within Housing Maintenance for a Senior Support Operative to carry out a wide range of works to it’s housing stock.
The successful applicant will have previous experience in all types of drainage work, including experience in using jetting equipment. Experience in completing drainage camera surveys and relevant knowledge of Health and Safety requirements would be advantageous for this post.
You will have a commitment to customer care along with excellent communication skills in order to liaise with tenants. A full valid driving licence, ideally with Category C1 (HGV Class 3) classification vehicle is also essential for this post.
The successful applicant will have knowledge of drain runs, drain construction and will be required to undertake driving duties in respect of the drain clearance service and the delivery of bulky materials to craft employees, employed on repair and maintenance works to housing and other Council properties.
Experience in a range of associated maintenance repairs and skills would also be desirable (see Job Description for full details).
The successful applicant will also be a member of the Out of Hours Team on a rota basis ensuring any emergency drain repairs are resolved in line with Council policy and procedure.
