At West Northamptonshire Council, we’re looking for an experienced and ambitious Procurement Manager to play a key role in shaping how we deliver high quality, value for money services. This is an exciting opportunity to join our forward-thinking central procurement and finance team, where you’ll provide expert advice and deliver end to end procurement services that directly support our ambitious corporate plan and strategic objectives.
What will you be doing?
As procurement manager you will:
- Act as a trusted commercial adviser to key service stakeholders, influencing decisions and supporting major programmes within the People Services portfolio.
- Shape and deliver a complex and varied procurement pipeline.
- Ensure our activity achieves real impact by embedding robust governance, compliance, and risk management, while also looking for opportunities to innovate and add value.
- Drive process development, incorporating the latest policy changes and legislation.
- Champion our business partner model, raising the profile of procurement and ensuring best practice is consistently applied across the organisation.

Salary range
