About the role
It's exciting times in Neighbourhood Services as we move our standard systems of work from paper-based to an electronic system, operated by staff via mobile devices. The new software is being developed and will need testing and embedding into the service, along with ongoing configuration to meet the service needs.
This role will be the ‘super user’ and lead officer for the implementation of the new system that will manage programmed maintenance and inspections work, allocate resources, schedule work and design the workflow.
The postholder will use the mobile working system to build knowledge through data and metrics. This knowledge will help generate efficiencies in work planning, prioritisation and management of our resources in real-time.
The successful candidate will be required to interrogate the data analytics function to produce bespoke and standard performance reports that will inform decision making and provide ongoing monitoring of operational performance and activity costs.
Ideally the successful candidate will have:
- experience of leading and implementing mobile working projects for a front-line service
- strong analytical skills using a broad range of Microsoft IT applications, especially Excel
- effective presentation and communication skills, working with a broad range of people and stakeholders with a range of different abilities
- project and contract management experience
- the ability to compile and present performance management reports
This position would suit someone who is:
- passionate about Crawley and has a keen interest in how front-line services are delivered in Neighbourhood Services
- motivated by improving services, reducing waste, and making savings
- tenacious, flexible and resilient and willing to challenge and be challenged
We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible, as we may close this advert before the stated closing date if enough applications are received.
