We are recruiting a Day Service Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 33 Hours
Contract Type: Part Time, Fixed Term until June 2026
Location: Community based settings throughout Caerphilly County Borough Council

Team: Adult Services

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our team for a fixed term Day Service Assistant to work with individuals in Brooklands day base, Risca (Monday, Tuesday and Friday) and Brondeg day base Blackwood (Wednesday and Thursday).

We are looking for people who can light up a room when they enter, wear their hearts on their sleeve, who have exceptional personable skills and have a motivated and positive attitude to all aspects of working with people. We aim to provide a person centred and tailored approach when providing social opportunities, the individuals we support are at the centre of all we do.

We want staff who are motivated in empowering people to achieve their goals and outcomes, we want you to be the reason that individuals enjoy their sessions with us. You will become part of a team, who strives to provide the best outcomes for individuals using a person centred approach.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • A Level 2 qualification in Care on the Credit and Qualifications Framework or the commitment and ability to attain the qualification within 1 year of appointment (subject to availability of training).
  • The ability to demonstrate and communicate effectively with individuals, carers/relatives and other professionals.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to enable people to be as independent as possible.
