We require an enthusiastic and self motivated individual to take on this challenging position at Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council.
As a key member of the Community Services team, the successful applicant will lead on initiatives that develop and expand the profile of sport and physical activities and the involvement of young people in play, physical activity and the democratic process within the Borough.
Partnership working is an essential role within this post and the post holder will lead for example on the Children’s Trust Partnership, the Hertfordshire Safeguarding Children Board and the Hertfordshire Sports Partnership. The postholder is also the Council’s lead officer for the council’s corporate group – safeguarding children.
The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, have sound experience of partnership working, be an excellent communicator and have the capacity to build effective networks with a diverse range of bodies.
Due to the nature of this post it is subject to disclosure at enhanced level from the Criminal Records Bureau.
