There has never been a more exciting time than now to join the county in keeping young people out of the youth justice system.
The Kent Youth Offending Service and partners are using a multi-agency approach to identify those young people most at risk of offending and anti-social behaviour. We’re looking to recruit self motivated people to assess and intervene with the identified children and young people, aged 8-17 years, and their parents or carers, to reduce the risks of offending and anti-social behaviour.
You will need to be an excellent team player, able to work with a range of community agencies; have exceptional communication and negotiation skills; and be skilled in undertaking assessments of need. An understanding of why young people offend and what can be done to intervene is imperative. Creativity and flexibility are necessary qualities.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Criminal Records Bureau.
Interviews to be held 6th August and 9th August 2010.
