FIXED TERM CONTRACT FOR 2 YEARS

Do you want to help us to deliver an eco-town for the community of Whitehill Bordon? Whitehill-Bordon is one of four towns in England which have been designated as Eco-towns and is aiming to become an exemplary eco-development which will pilot some of the foremost technologies of the day as well as becoming a focus for green innovation.

You will be responsible for promoting and implementing sustainable travel within the town, working with the residents of Whitehill Bordon to break down barriers to sustainable travel, gaining valuable information on attitudes and travel trends, and seeking to achieve behavioral change through the implementation of transport projects in the town.

You will need to have an excellent knowledge of sustainable travel practices, transport planning and Smarter Choices initiatives, and a proven ability to engage with residents, businesses and professionals on transport issues.

You will also need to have a commitment to the Eco-town ethos and be passionate about dealing with the challenge of climate change and the economic opportunities that the green economy presents.
