About the job:
As well as managing people and resources, your role will include overseeing the performance of our waste contractor, co-ordinating budgets and ensuring that we meet all statutory obligations. In addition, we need you to develop and implement strategies that take the service forward, creating a culture built on teamworking and shared goals.
About the person:
Substantial experience of managing waste and environmental protection services is essential, combined with a good understanding of the wider health and sustainability agendas. You should also bring excellent communication and leadership skills, plus a knowledge of waste and environmental-related government grants, incentives and financial schemes.
