Disabled Children’s Residential Provision
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Waking night Centre Worker with good communication skills to work with Disabled Children and Young people using our residential short breaks provision: 92 Leyton Green Road. The service provides after school clubs, holiday play schemes and over night provision.
You will be working closely with other professionals in children’s health, education and social care to ensure positive outcomes for disabled children and young people and their parents / carers.
In particular, you will work closely with the management team to continue to develop and expand a quality short break provision for families living in Waltham Forest.
As a dynamic and flexible individual you will join our service during a busy period of development and expansion. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative as well as being a team player. The successful candidate will be able to establish a good rapport with disabled children, families and other professionals and be committed to improving services. You will ensure the highest level of health and wellbeing for the children and young people by considering physical, social and emotional needs and adhering to service values: exacting standards, responsiveness, empathy, respect, expertise and enjoyment. Services may include, but are not limited to: supporting children and young people with personal care, administering medication and light housework. Previous experience of working with disabled children and their families in a social care or other setting is essential.
