Urban Renaissance Project Officer

Working as an integral part of the Economic Regeneration Agency of North East Lincolnshire Council you will be expected to both deliver and develop a wide range of capital projects taking forward Urban Renaissance and opportunities identified in the Regeneration Strategy. Specifically you will focus on the implementation of three major urban realm projects within Grimsby Town Centre. You will also be responsible for managing and directing the work of the Urban Renaissance Support Officer and overseeing the management of the Renaissance Project Shop. Occasional evening meetings are a requirement of these posts.

You will have experience of: – working closely with members of the private-sector, contract suppliers and other Council Officers to ensure the effective and timely delivery of projects, effective presentation, negotiation and ambassadorial skills, a proven track record of bidding for external funding, experience of budget management, both revenue & capital, the ability to work effectively with a wide-range of partners and experience of initiating, leading and delivering capital projects.

Due to the nature of the position flexibility in working hours will be essential in order to ensure effective private-sector communication. Occasional evening and weekend working are a requirement of this post. The post is 100% externally funded by Yorkshire Forward to 31st March 2010, with a likelihood of extension until 31st March 2014.
