Grade R: £32,348 – £43,211 pa

Our population is set to increase from 180,000 to 250,000 by 2026. As such, there’s going to be a massive growth in housing – around 30,000 new houses are planned – the local economy will prosper and grow and the town as a whole will benefit from regeneration and the sustainability we’re aiming for.

The Project Delivery team is responsible for driving forward a wide portfolio of engineering and transportation Capital Projects ranging from minor improvements through to the Local Transport Plan and developer contributions to multi million pound infrastructure projects linked to Regional Funding Allocations. What this means for you is an unrivalled chance to make your mark.

There’s no doubt that your portfolio of transport projects will be diverse in size and type. As importantly there will be a huge variety of stakeholders ranging from council members to residents to local interest groups to the Department of Transport. So your communication and influencing skills will really come into their own.

You will be of degree level or equivalent calibre and ideally from a transport planning or civil engineering background, and one which will have equipped you to manage complex projects, budgets and lead project teams.
