We are seeking to employ a Retail and Customer Service Training Officer. You will be based at the council’s main offices in Thorpe St Andrew but will be required to visit employers and learners in placement around the county.
Broadland Council Training Services deliver a range of quality vocational programmes for businesses throughout Norfolk and Suffolk. You will be required to deliver retail/warehouse and customer skills workshops, give key skills/functional skills support and assess learner’s qualifications. You will also be required to visit employers and carry out reviews and assessments of the learner’s workplace. You will be responsible for interviewing learners and making initial assessments followed by planning learning programmes. You will also be responsible for preparing learners for technical certificates and key skills tests and assessing vocational qualifications.
Applicants should hold a recognised training qualification and assessor qualifications such as A1. Retail, warehousing and customer service experience is essential and a certificate in key/functional skills is desirable.
The ability to travel to carry out the duties effectively is essential.
