Bury’s service desk staff are there to make sure that any IT problems our 3000+ PC users come across are resolved as quickly and painlessly as possible.
We generally favour Microsoft products and so you’ll need to have a general IT background along with a good attitude to customers and the ability to handle complex calls and the occasional frustrated user. You’ll be trying to resolve as many calls as possible using your own skills and remote access tools.
You must have a basic understanding of PC software and hardware. Whilst the ECDL qualification is not essential, you will be required to demonstrate a willingness to study for it and you’ll also be given the opportunity to attend more technical training to develop your ICT support skills.
This position is temporary on a 2 year fixed term contract, working 37 hours per week.
Interviews will take place at the end of April 2010.
