We are currently seeking two responsible and self-motivated individuals to join our Leisure Operations team as Seasonal Rangers for a temporary period of up to 13 weeks to assist with a significantly increased work load during the peak visitor period between July and September.

The post holders will patrol sites to report issues and deter misuse, meet and provide information to the public and co-ordinate the work of volunteers. In addition, you will run events and activities for children and adults, run environmental education projects on site and in schools, and undertake practical conservation projects. The duties of the post also involve undertaking routine maintenance tasks, helping keep our parks clean and tidy and planning for future management of parks.

The successful candidates will have a good level of education, knowledge and experience of park management and an ability to communicate well with both adults and children. Additionally, you will have good organisational skills, the ability to work unsupervised, and a willingness to undertake practical management and cleansing work.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo security checks as part of the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) for accessing Government records. This will include a Basic Disclosure Scotland Criminal Record check.

Please note that if you have been living outside of the UK for any significant periods (6 months or more in the past 3 years) then, as part of the BPSS clearances, you will be required to provide a reasonable account of this time living abroad.
