We are looking to recruit a temporary Revenues Officer to join the Revenues Recovery Team based at Sevenoaks for a period of 6 months.The main duties will involve:
- the efficient and effective recovery of Housing Benefit Overpayments, using the most appropriate method for the individual debtor
- contacting customers to chase late payment
- taking payments over the telephone by debit or credit card
- using the Academy Debt Management system to update and maintain collection records
- using the IDOX document management system
- processing daily correspondence
- answering customer enquiries whether face to face or over the telephone Revenregarding payment arrangements, deductions from ongoing benefit, attachments to welfare benefits
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a Revenues team or similar environment. They will have a good understanding of debt recovery procedures and must have excellent customer service and negotiation skills. The successful candidate must have the confidence to initiate contact with customers and the ability to negotiate sustainable payment arrangements.
