Joining our busy Environmental Protection Team, you will investigate statutory nuisance complaints, advise on the impact of planning and licensing applications, and enforce environmental protection and public health legislation.
You will need specialist experience in the field of Environmental Protection and/or relevant Environmental Health qualifications, such as the IOA Diploma in Acoustics & Noise Control. In addition, you must have excellent communication skills and a good understanding of the relevant legislation.
A flexible approach and use of your own vehicle will also be essential. Participation in our emergency out of hours service may be required, for which extra payment will be made. The precise start and finish times of the contract period are negotiable, but intended to be between 1 April and 31 October 2012 as a minimum.
Please note that this is a temporary position to cover a maternity leave of a member of staff and is expected to last for 6-9 months.
