This position is full time working 37 hours per week and temporary for a period not to exceed 9 months.

We are determined that adults with needs, their carers and families in Bury receive high quality innovative services.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Adult Care Services for a dynamic individual with excellent communication and project management skills to work alongside the Head of Inclusion.

Social Inclusion covers several service areas such as Carers, Direct Payments, Adult Placement, Asylum Seekers & Refugees, Supported Employment services and the Integrated Equipment Store. Housing Choices is temporarily under the management of the Head of Service.

This rewarding role will focus on;

Managing four areas of service. To develop practice so that users and carers receive high quality services enabling them to take a pro active role in the community, helping them to solve their own problems and by providing a range of services which increase independence and promote economic wellbeing.
Act as an advisor on social inclusion and community cohesion.
To work effectively with partners to lead the presentation and economic well being agenda through the development of inclusive community services.

You will need project management skills and excellent communication skills and have experience leading projects working in partnership with other stakeholders. You will need to have experience of monitoring and reviewing policies and to demonstrate leadership through periods of change.

You will be required to register with the General Social Care Council, and the Independent Safeguarding Authority in line with the relevant timescales.

Satisfactory disclosure at the appropriate level under the Criminal Records Bureau is required prior to appointment.
