Location Based at The Grange, Nutholt Lane, Ely, Cambs.

In this role, you will provide specialist advice on all aspects of environmental pollution, including noise, lighting, dust and odour. You will respond to enquiries from the public, investigate and resolve nuisance complaints, lead the delivery of the LA-IPPC and LAPPC regimes, and review planning consultations.

With a science or technology based BTEC National Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification, you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of environmental health legislation. A Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control is desirable. As well as being an effective communicator, you will have the ability to act on your own initiative. A driving licence and access to a vehicle is also essential. Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.

This is a 6-month fixed term post to provide cover for maternity leave.
