The role
Here in Kent, we want to make sure that all children have safe, happy, and successful lives. And that’s where you come in. In this challenging and rewarding role, you will shape the futures of vulnerable children by ensuring high standards of social work practice.
You will play a key role in ensuring that Every Child Matters outcomes are delivered and improved for children in need, with a clear focus on those in need of protection and the wider safeguarding agenda. Developing strong links with the Local Children’s Service Partnership will be vital to this, as will providing effective leadership to a team of Social Workers and support staff.
The requirements
Qualified to degree level with GSCC registration, you will bring extensive post-qualification experience within social care. This will include professional supervision or project management, policy and practice formulation, and budget management. Fully aware of recent research and national initiatives impacting on children’s social care, you will have the ability to work collaboratively with key partners in the statutory, private, and voluntary sectors.
