This is a new post, created following a Divisional restructuring exercise.
Using your extensive work experience or theoretical knowledge, you will take a lead role in the Council’s public transport co-ordination functions, with particular emphasis on home to school and special needs transport. They will lead the Transport Procurement and Operations Team and contribute to the overall management of the Integrated Passenger Transport Group, including the preparation and implementation of business plans and the development of public transport policies and strategies.
You will need a degree in a relevant subject, or significant hands on experience that demonstrates practical and theoretical knowledge of public transport strategy development and implementation, particularly in the areas of home to school and special needs transport, concessionary fares and community transport. You will also require previous supervisory experience, be computer literate and able to use and analyse complex data to draft reports.
