Headteacher: Mr. Nigel OgdenDate required: 1st September 2009The post is temporary until such time as the child leaves the school or the funding ceases.Working under the day-to-day direction of the Inclusion Manager the post holder will provide in class support and 1-1 withdrawal for a student with learning difficulties. Experience of working with young people with poor literacy and numeracy skills is an essential requirement for this post as is the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. The successful candidate must be a good team player and be able to work on his/her own initiative when required. Knowledge of The Code of Practice for Special Educational Need and an understanding of the procedures and practices of a mainstream high school are desirable but not essential.This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
