Based at our Broadway Offices in Accrington, Benefits, Revenues and Customer Contact department administers all Council Tax, Business Rates and Housing and Council Tax Benefits for residents of Hyndburn as well as providing telephone and face to face customers services for more than 300,000 customers a year.

We are looking for a Systems Manager to maintain and support the department’s vital IT infrastructure ensuring that all systems are running at optimum levels, that all legislative changes are made and that our systems offer value for money.

Using Capita Academy, Information@Work, Microsoft Dynamics CRM as well as interfaces with MS Office packages and payment software, you will be responsible for testing, release installations and establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with both users and suppliers. This role involves absolute deadlines and it is essential that you have the ability to manage your workload, meet competing deadlines and respond to problems quickly providing practical solutions. Weekend working will be required on an ad hoc basis to perform out of hours installations and to ensure year end processes are complete.

As part of the department’s management team you will contribute to the operational running of the department as well as deciding and implementing new policies and procedures. Working with other managers you will have the opportunity to streamline systems and reengineer business processes as proving value for money has never been more prominent.

You must have experience of administering multi user computer systems, experience of Revenues and Benefits systems and the delivery of online systems for customers. You must have a flexible approach to duties and the ability to produce, interpret and present statistical information and legislation.
