Becoming a Council the city deserves means a big change to Council structures and a move to wide-ranging commissioning of services. Environmental Management Systems should underpin much of this commissioning and we need an experienced EMS professional who understands local government and the needs of the city to help make this happen.
Working in the Council’s Sustainability Team, you will support the team’s wider work priorities. As well as working on improving sustainability performance throughout the Council and city, other work areas include developing a staff learning & development programme to help embed sustainability into the Council culture and operations, and in supporting the Council and the wider city in meeting ambitious targets for addressing climate change.
