Do you have the skills to; enable people to live the lives they want to live, the ability to support adult people with learning disabilities, maximise their independence, flexible and work responsively to individuals changing needs?

Working within Learning Disability Service in Barnsley, you will have a key role in supporting service users to develop their roles within their own home and local communities, providing a combination of information, care and support at varying levels dependent on the individuals you support.

Ee will provide you with a comprehensive induction and training package and encourage you to develop your skills and initiative throughout your employment with us. You must have the ability to communicate and interact confidently with people with a learning disability and professional agencies. You will provide support to people with a learning disability in ways which do not create dependency, both in the persons own homes and within their local community.

You must successfully complete the Common Induction Standards and NVQ Level II in Care.

You will be required to work flexibly, to cover seven days per week on a rota, with a requirement to fulfil sleep in duties or waking nights as required by the Service.

Please note for these positions you will be required to undergo an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.
