Waltham Forest is proud to be one of the five host boroughs for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The appearance of our streets and the safety and efficiency of our road network will have a major impact on the success of The Games.
In Public Realm we currently have a number of career opportunities that would suit ambitious and experienced technicians who are keen to contribute to the improvement and regeneration of our borough.
We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic officer to join the Highways and Infrastructure Service to carryout highway inspections and supervise street works to achieve high standards of workmanship.
You will have good organisational and communication skills and be able to maintain accurate records and resolve problems as they arise on site. The ability to prioritise your own workload is essential.
A full drivers licence, NRSWA accreditation and knowledge of highway construction is essential.
