Job Summary

Street Works Coordination and Permitting Officer (Fixed Term Contract or Secondment Opportunity until October 2012)

SO2 – Starting Salary £30345 rising in annual increments to £31945 per annum incLW Your Challenge

· To work as part of the busy street works team within Lambeth Environmental Services & Highways, receiving and processing Street Works notices and permits and Fixed Penalty Notices.

· To discharge the Council’s duties under the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) 1991 and the Traffic Management Act (TMA) 2004 , taking action to ensure compliance by all works promoters.

  • To build on the successful implementation of the London permits scheme.

· To provide administrative and data management support to the Street Works team and others as directed by the Street Works Manager, ensuring all data is handled accurately and reports produced in a timely manner.
